Arbitrum Nova RPC
What is Arbitrum Nova?
Arbitrum Nova is an AnyTrust Chain operated by the Arbitrum Foundation, designed for applications that require low transaction costs and high throughput. Unlike Arbitrum One which uses traditional optimistic rollup technology, Nova uses AnyTrust technology that relies on a Data Availability Committee (DAC) to store transaction data off-chain while maintaining security guarantees.
Nova chains are owned by the Arbitrum Governance system, ensuring decentralized control and community-driven development. This approach enables lower costs than traditional rollups, making Nova ideal for gaming, social applications, and high-frequency use cases where transaction fees need to be minimal.
Interacting with Arbitrum Nova
The Arbitrum Nova JSON-RPC API is fully compatible with Ethereum's API, enabling developers to use existing Ethereum tools and libraries without modification. Nova supports all standard Ethereum JSON-RPC methods plus Arbitrum-specific functionality for Layer 2 operations and cross-chain messaging.
Since Nova is EVM-equivalent like Arbitrum One, developers can use familiar tools such as MetaMask, Hardhat, and Ethers.js while benefiting from the low costs provided by AnyTrust technology.
