Closing a funded strategy withdraws its positions and returns the USDC to your wallet on the strategy's source network. The number of wallet transactions and the completion time depend on which networks hold positions.
- Start from the management panel. Select Close Strategy and review the withdrawal.
- Sign for each network. Confirm one withdrawal transaction for every network that holds a position.
- Wait for remote positions. Cross-chain withdrawals return through Circle CCTP v2 and take longer than same-chain withdrawals.
- Check for Holding positions. Earn skips positions that cannot be redeemed because the vault lacks withdrawable liquidity.
- Receive USDC on the source network. The closed strategy remains in your dashboard history with its final value and Realized APY.
Close a funded strategy
Follow these steps to withdraw the positions that can be redeemed:
- Open the strategy's management panel
Select Close Strategy. Review the amount being withdrawn and, for a multi-network strategy, the number of required transactions and estimated bridge time.
- Confirm and sign
Sign one withdrawal transaction for each network holding a position. If a required vault share allowance is missing, Earn asks you to approve it first.
- Wait for withdrawals
Same-network positions redeem directly to USDC. Remote positions redeem on their network and return to the source network through Circle CCTP v2.
- Confirm completion
After the final position and bridge confirm, the strategy becomes Closed and the source-network wallet balance reflects the final value plus accrued yield.
A closed strategy remains in your dashboard history with its final value and Realized APY. To start again, create another strategy.
If you stop a multi-network close before signing every transaction, the strategy remains Closing. Select Continue Close to resume with the remaining networks.
Closing behavior by position
The close flow handles each position according to its network and available liquidity:

| On a remote network | Redeems locally, then returns to the source network through Circle CCTP v2. The close waits for Circle attestation. |
| Marked Holding | Is excluded from the close because the vault cannot currently provide enough withdrawable liquidity. |
A cross-chain close cannot finish until CCTP attestation completes for each remote network. The strategy displays Closing during this period. See Cross-chain bridging for the complete flow and timing.
Before you confirm, Earn lists any positions that cannot be redeemed. Their vault shares remain in your wallet. Once liquidity returns, redeem those shares directly from the vault.
Delete an unfunded strategy
A strategy that has never received a deposit displays Delete instead of Close Strategy. Deleting it removes the unfunded strategy permanently; there are no positions or funds to withdraw.
