What is Gnosis Chain?

Gnosis Chain is an EVM-compatible blockchain that prioritizes stability, affordability, and decentralization. Originally launched as xDai Chain, it was rebranded as Gnosis Chain following its merge with the Gnosis ecosystem. The network uses xDai as its native token for gas fees, providing predictable and stable transaction costs.

Built on a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, Gnosis Chain offers fast transaction confirmation times and extremely low fees, making it ideal for everyday transactions, payments, and applications requiring stable operating costs. The network maintains full Ethereum compatibility while providing a more accessible blockchain experience.

Interacting with Gnosis

The Gnosis Chain is fully compatible with Ethereum's API, enabling developers to use existing Ethereum tools and libraries without modification. The API supports all standard Ethereum JSON-RPC methods, allowing developers to interact with smart contracts, transfer tokens, and build applications using familiar development environments.
