Transaction hash: 0x followed by 64 hex characters.

blockNumber

Snapshot block number in hexadecimal. Nested event block numbers are integers.

blockHash

Hash of the snapshot block.

stage

string

The highest stage reached.

stages

One boolean per stage, e.g. check stages.safe.

soft

boolean

Whether the transaction is included in a canonical Robinhood Chain block.

posted

boolean

Whether its batch is posted to Ethereum.

safe

boolean

Whether the batch posting block is safe on Ethereum.

finalized

boolean

Whether the batch posting block is finalized on Ethereum.

batchNumber

integer or null

The batch containing the block. null while SOFT. May be null when unavailable or not applicable.

l1Confirmations

integer

Ethereum blocks on top of the one that carried the batch: about 0–3 at POSTED, about 32 at SAFE, and it keeps growing.

l1BatchTx

string or null

The Ethereum transaction that posted the batch (look it up on Etherscan). null until posted, and occasionally after if the Ethereum lookup can't find it. May be null when unavailable or not applicable.

estimatedSafeAt

integer or null

When SAFE is expected (Unix seconds). null once reached. May be null when unavailable or not applicable.

estimatedFinalizedAt

integer or null

When FINALIZED is expected (Unix seconds). null once reached. May be null when unavailable or not applicable.

estimatedSecondsToFinalized

integer or null

The same as a countdown from now; never below 0. May be null when unavailable or not applicable.

warnings

array

Warning code strings describing partial data or unavailable signals; empty when there are no warnings.

canonicalBlockHash

Present only for REORGED: the canonical hash now at blockNumber.

Additional details

This method tracks a transaction's progress from sequencer inclusion through Ethereum finalization. Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Nitro rollup—the sequencer orders transactions, then posts them to Ethereum in batches.

Finality stages

Stage	Meaning	Typically reached
SOFT	Included in a Robinhood Chain block. Only the sequencer has committed.	Immediately
POSTED	Batch posted to Ethereum, but that block can still reorg.	~40 s
SAFE	Ethereum block is safe (justified). Reversal requires major Ethereum failure.	~6–13 min
FINALIZED	Ethereum block is finalized. Reversing means reversing Ethereum.	~13–19 min
REORGED	Rare: block in receipt is no longer canonical. Query again—tx may be re-included.	—

Choose the finality stage appropriate for your use case. Estimates are not guarantees.

How estimates work

SAFE and FINALIZED advance in steps once per Ethereum epoch (~6.4 minutes), not continuously. The estimate is the next step after the batch lands, based on steps observed over the last 30 minutes. Estimated times may hold still while the countdown falls, then jump to the next epoch if a step is missed.

Warnings

• FINALITY_ESTIMATES_UNAVAILABLE — No estimate available right now (stage is still exact)
• L1_CONFIRMATIONS_UNAVAILABLE — Confirmation count couldn't be read (l1Confirmations is 0)

Errors

-32602	txHash is missing or not a valid 32-byte hex hash.
