getTransactionsForAddress RPC Method

Returns transactions involving an address, with optional filtering by slot, block time, signature, status, and token account activity.

Updated on
Aug 23, 2026

Parameters

address
string
REQUIRED

The account address encoded as base-58 string to retrieve transaction history for

object
object

(Optional) The configuration object with the following fields:

transactionDetails
string

(Default: signatures) The level of transaction detail to return. It can be one of signatures or full. When set to full, each item includes the complete transaction and metadata objects

sortOrder
string

(Default: desc) The order in which results are sorted by slot and transaction index. It can be one of desc (newest first) or asc (oldest first)

limit
integer

(Default: 1000) The maximum number of transactions to return (between 1 and 1000). Values above 1000 are capped at 1000

paginationToken
string

The token returned as paginationToken in a previous response, used to fetch the next page of results. The value is formatted as slot:transactionIndex

commitment
string

The level of commitment required for the query. This method does not support commitment levels below confirmed. The options include:

finalized
string

The node will query the most recent block confirmed by the supermajority of the cluster as having reached maximum lockout, meaning the cluster has recognized this block as finalized

confirmed
string

The node will query the most recent block that has been voted on by the supermajority of the cluster

minContextSlot
integer

The minimum slot at which the request can be evaluated

encoding
string

(Default: json) The encoding format for the transaction data. It can be one of json, jsonParsed, base58, or base64. This field only applies when transactionDetails is set to full

maxSupportedTransactionVersion
integer

The maximum transaction version to return, as a JSON integer. Set it to 1 to receive legacy, version 0, and version 1 transactions. This field only applies when transactionDetails is set to full

filters
object

(Optional) The filter object used to narrow the returned transactions with the following fields:

slot
object

Filters transactions by slot using any combination of the comparison fields below

gte
integer

Matches transactions in slots greater than or equal to this value

gt
integer

Matches transactions in slots greater than this value

lte
integer

Matches transactions in slots less than or equal to this value

lt
integer

Matches transactions in slots less than this value

blockTime
object

Filters transactions by block time, as a Unix timestamp in seconds, using any combination of the comparison fields below

gte
integer

Matches transactions with a block time greater than or equal to this value

gt
integer

Matches transactions with a block time greater than this value

lte
integer

Matches transactions with a block time less than or equal to this value

lt
integer

Matches transactions with a block time less than this value

eq
integer

Matches transactions with a block time equal to this value

signature
object

Filters transactions by their position relative to a base-58 encoded transaction signature, using any combination of the comparison fields below

gte
string

Matches transactions positioned at or after this signature

gt
string

Matches transactions positioned after this signature

lte
string

Matches transactions positioned at or before this signature

lt
string

Matches transactions positioned before this signature

status
string

(Default: any) Filters transactions by execution status. It can be one of any, succeeded, or failed

tokenAccounts
string

(Default: none) Controls whether transactions involving token accounts owned by the address are included. It can be one of none (only the address itself), balanceChanged (also include token accounts whose balance changed), or all (also include all token accounts owned by the address)

Returns

result
object

A JSON object with the following fields:

data
array

An array of transaction objects. The fields present in each object depend on transactionDetails, as noted below:

signature
string

Only present when transactionDetails is signatures. The base-58 encoded signature of the transaction. When transactionDetails is full, the signature is available in transaction.signatures[0] for the json and jsonParsed encodings

slot
integer

The slot number in which the transaction was confirmed

transactionIndex
integer

The position of the transaction within its block

err
object

Only present when transactionDetails is signatures. Error object if the transaction failed or null if the transaction succeeded. When transactionDetails is full, the error is available in meta.err

memo
string

Only present when transactionDetails is signatures. The memo associated with the transaction and null if no memo is present

blockTime
integer

The estimated production time, as Unix timestamp (seconds since the Unix epoch). Null if not available

confirmationStatus
string

Only present when transactionDetails is signatures. The transaction's cluster confirmation status. The status can either be confirmed or finalized

transaction
object

Only present when transactionDetails is full. The transaction object, either in JSON format or encoded binary data depending on the encoding parameter. Version 1 transactions carry their compute and fee settings in the message's transactionConfig object

meta
object

Only present when transactionDetails is full. The transaction status metadata object, containing fields such as err, fee, preBalances, postBalances, preTokenBalances, postTokenBalances, innerInstructions, logMessages, rewards, loadedAddresses, status, computeUnitsConsumed, and costUnits. The loadedAddresses field holds the addresses resolved from address lookup tables as writable and readonly arrays, both empty for legacy and version 1 transactions, and is omitted when encoding is jsonParsed, where those addresses appear in accountKeys with a source of lookupTable

version
string|integer

Only present when transactionDetails is full. The transaction version, one of "legacy", 0, or 1

paginationToken
string

The token used to fetch the next page of results, formatted as slot:transactionIndex. Null when there are no further results
