Tempo RPC

With Quicknode, you get access to our global Tempo network which always routes your API requests to the nearest available location, ensuring low latency and the fastest speeds.

Tempo Overview

Tempo is a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for payments. The EVM-compatible network achieves over 100,000 transactions per second with sub-second finality and near-zero transaction fees.

The blockchain supports all major stablecoins with native interoperability and offers payment-specific features like batch transfers, memo fields, and compliance tools including blocklists and allowlists. Transaction fees can be paid in any supported stablecoin.

Interacting with Tempo

Tempo implements the standard Ethereum JSON-RPC interface. Developers can use familiar Ethereum tools and libraries to query balances, transactions, and contract state, send transactions, and deploy smart contracts.

As an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, Tempo supports standard Ethereum JSON-RPC methods. Some endpoints or behaviors may differ from standard Ethereum implementations due to Tempo's payment-focused architecture. Refer to the official Tempo documentation for specific API details.

Make Tempo API Calls

Create a Quicknode endpoint to start building on Tempo and send JSON-RPC requests.

Quicknode managed Tempo endpoints provide:

  • High reliability — globally distributed infrastructure with minimal downtime
  • Archive data — complete historical state for comprehensive queries
  • Optimized performance — low latency request handling for production applications

Visit the QuickStart page to create your endpoint and send your first request.
