Overview
AppChains are application-specific chains used to serve a specific use case. Some applications may have completely different use cases than others, and the public blockchains used by a wide range of people sometimes may not be suitable for custom use cases as they may be slow or work in a particular way; thus, having a custom chain is necessary in some use cases. Several frameworks let you create an application-specific custom chain (AppChain). RaaS is another way of creating a custom chain on a pre-existing rollup framework.
