Introducing the Build On Hackathon

Web3 builders are laying the groundwork for a more equitable and fair internet. In a macro-environment littered with regulatory roadblocks and yellow tape, we think it’s vital to champion you, the builder and developer, to keep pursuing your vision and build on.

The Build On Hackathon is a celebration of the ingenuity, creativity, and persistence of Web3 creators. Those creators are invited to build new and novel projects, learn from industry experts, and compete for over $150k in cash and credits.

Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting your Web3 journey, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills, build projects that solve real-world problems, and potentially bootstrap your project with hard-earned cash.

Build On encourages builders to explore the full range of Quicknode products. With dedicated tracks, workshops, and a community to support you, this hackathon is all about using the full suite of tools to build apps that push the boundaries of Web3.

Here’s the long and short of it 🔽

• Earn big: Compete for over $150k in cash and credits.

• Choose your track: Choose from 5 tracks including DeFi, Social/Gaming, ANalytics, Cross-Chain Interoperability, and Public Goods.

• Learn from industry experts: Attend your track-specific workshop and join the dedicated discord to chat with fellow builders and experts.

The Tracks

Developers can submit their projects to one or many tracks. Projects submitted to multiple tracks will be evaluated independently against other track-specific submissions. Check out the details below and scroll to see some sample project ideas👇👉

Schedule

• Application Window: Applications are open now! Sign up today to join. Registration closes October 31st, though we strongly advise your team to register before the hacking starts.

• Opening Ceremony: On October 19th, Quicknode will host an opening ceremony live stream.

• Hacking: Hacking begins October 19th and ends November 2nd. All submissions must be in by 11:59PM ET November 2nd to be considered for judging.

• Workshops: Quicknode product experts and other industry leaders will hold workshops from October 21-25. Bring your questions and learn from the best in blockchain! We'll stream the workshops live on Quicknode's YouTube channel so make sure to subscribe so you get the notification right when we go live!

• Judging and Awards: Winners will be announced on November 9th!

Rules

• All submissions must use a Quicknode product. Additional prizes will be awarded for the best use of Quicknode Streams and Quicknode Marketplace add-ons.

• Team sizes can range from 1 to 5 members.

• Each developer must have a Quicknode account to participate.

• The hackathon will be hosted entirely online.
