What is Fantom?

Fantom is a high-performance, scalable blockchain platform that uses a unique consensus mechanism called Lachesis to achieve near-instant transaction finality. Built as a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) based network, Fantom can process thousands of transactions per second while maintaining EVM compatibility, low fees and high throughput.

Interacting with Fantom

The Fantom JSON-RPC API is fully compatible with Ethereum's API, enabling developers to use existing Ethereum development tools and libraries. Fantom supports all standard Ethereum JSON-RPC methods, allowing applications to interact with smart contracts, transfer FTM tokens, and access DeFi protocols using familiar interfaces.
