Indigo Protocol

Indigo Protocol is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform built on the Cardano blockchain that enables users to mint synthetic assets (iAssets) by collateralizing ADA through Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs). It aims to democratize access to diversified asset exposure without requiring direct ownership, leveraging blockchain transparency and efficiency. The protocol integrates liquid staking to allow ADA holders to earn staking rewards alongside Indigo rewards, maximizing asset utility without sacrificing yield.

The protocol includes Stability Pools to maintain solvency and protect against liquidity risks, rewarding stability providers with ADA and INDY tokens. INDY, the native utility token with a fixed supply of 35 million, powers governance and incentivizes participation through staking rewards, protocol fee sharing, and multi-yield income streams. Governance is community-led via the Indigo DAO, where INDY holders vote on protocol parameters and future developments.

Indigo also features Dexter, an open-source decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator that simplifies swapping iAssets, ADA, and INDY across Cardano DEXs within a unified interface. The Indigo Web App consolidates these functionalities, providing an intuitive dashboard for minting, staking, trading, and managing positions with real-time data. Developers and users can get started by connecting supported Cardano wallets, minting synthetic assets via CDPs, participating in staking and governance, and accessing liquidity through Dexter. Comprehensive documentation and community support are available to facilitate onboarding and integration.
