Sunrise is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to deliver high-throughput data availability alongside a native liquidity hub. It introduces a novel Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism combined with fee abstraction, enabling rollups and application chains to access immediate liquidity and flexible gas payment options. Validators secure the network by staking the native token RISE or its derivative vRISE, while liquidity providers contribute to liquidity pools and earn rewards in vRISE and trading fees. This design supports interoperability with rollups and Layer 2 blockchains, allowing developers to integrate Sunrise with minimal effort.

Built using the Cosmos SDK and Go, Sunrise leverages the Ignite CLI for streamlined blockchain development and deployment. Developers can quickly start a local blockchain instance using Ignite's serve command, which handles dependency installation, building, initialization, and startup. The blockchain's configuration is customizable via a config.yml file, enabling tailored setups for different use cases. Sunrise's architecture focuses on combining data availability and liquidity provision to address common bottlenecks in scaling and financing decentralized applications.

Sunrise stands out by integrating liquidity provision directly into the Layer 1 protocol through its Proof of Liquidity model, which is uncommon among existing blockchains.
