Originally launched as xDai Chain, it was rebranded as Gnosis Chain following its merge with the Gnosis ecosystem. The network uses xDai as its native token for gas fees, providing predictable and stable transaction costs.
Built on a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, Gnosis Chain offers fast transaction confirmation times and extremely low fees, making it ideal for everyday transactions, payments, and applications requiring stable operating costs. The network maintains full Ethereum compatibility while providing a more accessible blockchain experience.
