A Hyperliquid RPC endpoint gives developers programmatic access to both layers of Hyperliquid's architecture: HyperCore (the onchain order book and exchange engine) and HyperEVM (the EVM-compatible smart contract layer). Quicknode provides managed Hyperliquid endpoints with access to the Info API for market data queries, gRPC and WebSocket streaming for real-time data, JSON-RPC for historical access, and HyperEVM JSON-RPC for smart contract interaction. Additional products available through the same platform include the Hyperliquid API, a Quicknode-built trading API for the Hyperliquid ecosystem, as well as SQL Explorer for querying indexed onchain data, Streams for managed data pipelines, and Webhooks for event-driven automation.

HyperCore is Hyperliquid's onchain order book engine. It handles trade execution, market data, and exchange state at 200K orders per second with sub-second finality. Quicknode exposes HyperCore through the Info API (/info), gRPC streaming (port 10000), WebSocket (/hypercore/ws), and JSON-RPC (/hypercore).

HyperEVM is Hyperliquid's EVM-compatible smart contract layer. Developers deploy and interact with Solidity contracts using standard Ethereum tooling including Foundry, Hardhat, Ethers.js, and Viem. Quicknode exposes HyperEVM through two paths: /evm for standard JSON-RPC and /nanoreth for archive access with full tracing, debugging, and WebSocket support.

Quicknode provides access to HyperCore exchange data through four protocols:

• Info API (/info) - 50+ specialized methods for market data, positions, order status, fills, funding rates, and portfolio data via simple POST requests

• gRPC Streaming (port 10000) - real-time streaming, all 9 data streams, native zstd compression (~70% bandwidth reduction)

• WebSocket (/hypercore/ws) - real-time streaming for 6 data streams

• JSON-RPC / HTTP (/hypercore) - historical queries and batch block retrieval up to 200 blocks per request

Available data streams: TRADES, ORDERS, BOOK_UPDATES, TWAP, EVENTS, WRITER_ACTIONS, BLOCKS, StreamL2Book, and StreamL4Book. All 9 are available via gRPC. WebSocket supports 6 streams (BLOCKS, StreamL2Book, and StreamL4Book are gRPC-only).

For indexed data, SQL Explorer provides direct SQL access to 500B+ rows across 45+ tables including trades, fills, funding rates, liquidations, oracle prices, and validator rewards.

The Hyperliquid API (hyperliquidapi.com) is a zero-custody REST trading API built by Quicknode for the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It supports market, limit, TWAP, stop loss, and take profit orders across perpetuals, spot, HIP-3 markets, and HIP-4 outcome markets. The execution flow: build the order locally, sign with your private key (keys never leave your machine), and submit via the API. SDKs are available in Python, TypeScript, Rust, and Go, all open sourced and available on GitHub. The API is free to use without a Quicknode account. Quicknode customers access it directly through their dedicated endpoint.

SQL Explorer gives developers direct SQL access to fully indexed Hyperliquid onchain data. No nodes, no indexers, no pipelines to manage. It currently indexes 500B+ rows across 45+ tables including trades, orders, fills, funding rates, liquidations, oracle prices, validator rewards, builder activity, and clearinghouse states. SQL Explorer currently covers Hyperliquid HyperCore mainnet. Additional chains are expanding based on demand. Queries run via an in-browser editor or programmatically via REST API. 40+ pre-built queries are available. SQL Explorer is in public beta and uses credits from the existing Quicknode account.

Streams - managed, push-based delivery with guaranteed reliability. Subscribe to specific markets, event types, or addresses, filtered upstream at the source. Supports custom filters, historical backfills, and flexible batching. Best when you want the pipeline handled for you. Available on paid Quicknode plans.
