Is the DAS API free to use?

Yes. The free tier includes 10,000 requests/month at 2 requests per second, at no cost. Paid tiers start at $10/month (Essential: 50,000 requests, 10 RPS) and $49/month (Premium: unlimited, credit-based). Enterprise plans are available on request.

How is the DAS API different from standard Solana RPC methods?

Standard Solana RPC methods return raw account data. To work with an NFT from raw data, you must know its asset standard, parse the account structure, and handle schema differences across types. DAS API handles all of that and returns structured, normalized asset data directly. No parsing required.

Does the DAS API support compressed NFTs (cNFTs)?

Yes. Compressed NFTs use Merkle trees and require proof data for verification. Standard Solana RPC does not expose this directly. DAS API includes getAssetProof and getAssetProofs specifically for Merkle tree proof retrieval, so compressed NFT queries work the same as any other asset type.
