EtherForum

EtherForum is a decentralized social publishing platform built directly on the Ethereum blockchain. It enables users to create short posts and long-form articles that are stored permanently and immutably on-chain, without relying on any off-chain databases or indexers. This design ensures censorship resistance and full user ownership of content, making EtherForum a true public square on Ethereum. The platform supports rich text formatting via Markdown, including images, and all interactions such as posts, comments, reactions, and follows are recorded on-chain with verifiable state.

The core smart contract is designed with minimal, gas-conscious Solidity structs and deterministic indexing, allowing clients to fetch timelines and user data without centralized infrastructure. EtherForum does not have an admin or owner role, so content cannot be confiscated or silently edited. Users control their own posts, including edits and visibility. The platform is structured to be composable and portable, enabling any community to build alternative frontends, indexers, or analytics layers that read directly from Ethereum RPC endpoints.

EtherForum launched its mainnet app in 2025 and continues to develop enhancements such as a token generation event (XEF), improved user interfaces, custom RPC options, and notification systems. The platform’s token, XEF, is designed to incentivize ecosystem growth and integrations without transfer taxes. Developers can get started by interacting with the open-source smart contracts and using the documented view functions to build custom clients or tools.
