Balanced is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform designed to simplify cross-chain asset management and trading. It enables users to borrow its native stablecoin, Balanced Dollar (bnUSD), trade crypto assets across multiple blockchains, and earn interest through liquidity provision and savings. The platform supports 11 blockchains and integrates with various decentralized exchanges to facilitate fast, affordable, and seamless cross-chain swaps and transfers. Balanced’s interface is designed to be accessible for both beginners and experienced users, emphasizing ease of use without sacrificing advanced features.

At its core, Balanced offers an over-collateralized stablecoin, bnUSD, pegged to the US dollar and backed by a diverse basket of crypto assets across supported chains. Users can borrow bnUSD by depositing collateral, trade bnUSD against other stablecoins like USDC and USDT to stabilize its price, or deposit bnUSD into a Savings Rate contract to earn variable interest paid in sICX tokens. The platform’s cross-chain exchange leverages SODAX Intents technology to find optimal prices by routing trades through its own liquidity pools and external DEXs such as Uniswap, PancakeSwap, and Raydium.

Balanced also incorporates governance features through its Balance Token (BALN), which incentivizes liquidity providers and allows holders to vote on protocol parameters, liquidity incentives, and new chain integrations. Although governance was removed in late 2025 to transition Balanced into a frontend for third-party protocols, the platform remains a comprehensive DeFi hub for borrowing, trading, and earning across multiple chains. Security is addressed through multiple smart contract audits and withdrawal limits to mitigate risks.
