Myriad Markets

Myriad Markets is a decentralized, on-chain prediction market protocol that lets users trade on the outcomes of real-world and digital events directly via blockchain. Unlike traditional prediction platforms that require visiting a separate site or interface, Myriad embeds interactive prediction markets into the platforms where people already consume content — such as news articles, social feeds (e.g., X, formerly Twitter), and video content — through browser extensions and integrations.

Launched in March 2025 by DASTAN (the parent entity formed from Decrypt Media and Rug Radio), Myriad Markets uses smart contracts on multiple blockchains (initially Abstract, later expanded to Linea and BNB Chain) to enable peer-to-peer prediction trading without centralized intermediaries. The protocol allows markets on topics ranging from cryptocurrency price forecasts, macroeconomic movements, politics, sports, entertainment, and cultural events.

What makes Myriad distinctive is its “embedded prediction” model: instead of having users navigate away from content to participate, prediction markets are automatically displayed alongside relevant articles, tweets, and media, making content consumption and prediction engagement seamless. This bridges Web2 media with Web3 financial interaction and aims to transform passive reading or watching into active forecasting participation.

Myriad uses automated market maker (AMM) systems to facilitate liquidity and pricing, enabling instantaneous entry and exit from markets without traditional order books, and uses oracles to resolve outcomes once events conclude. Markets pay out winning shares (typically denominated in USDC) upon resolution, while prices between 0 and 1 reflect implied probabilities drawn from market sentiment.
